Pinnacle Presbyterian Church

Congregational Care

Soul Food on the Green

One of the greatest privileges of being in a church community is that we get to walk with each other during the most sacred, beautiful and difficult times of life. Pastoral Care between members, staff and church leaders is the glue that holds us together as people of God. Pastoral Care between people of faith is what Christ calls us to do.

Here are some of the things we do:

Soul Food

A ministry of the Deacons that offers meals for families experiencing crisis, trauma or the birth of a child.

The Prayer Chain

An e–mail based prayer list distributed multiple times each week. Faithful members and staff pray for these requests and anyone can receive the prayer chain.

Grief Support

Grief groups, wholeness/healing workshops and grief materials have recently been added to the church’s ministry as a way of supporting members who have lost loved ones.

Ash Wednesday service at Pinnacle Presbyterian ChurchPastoral Counseling

The clergy staff are available to meet with members who need to talk about their life circumstances and spiritual needs. The clergy have lists of counselors when a referral is needed.

Deacon CARE Network

The Deacons of the church regularly reach out to members during times of celebration and loss. Every member of the church has a Deacon assigned to them. Deacons stay in touch through phone calls and letters.

Hospitality & Assimilation

The Deacons and staff of the church are always trying to find ways to connect the members to one another through special events or on the west terrace after worship.

Home & Hospital Visitation

The pastoral staff works very hard to keep up with families who need pastoral visits during various stages of life or illness. Kristin, Mac and Fran regularly do hospital and home calls.

Card Ministry

Deacons and children of the church send and deliver cards to members who are experiencing illness or are in the hospital.
