Celebration of Christmas

This annual musical event sparkles with the wonder and joy of the Christmas season. Offered as Pinnacle’s gift to the greater Scottsdale community, the concert on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, featured the Chancel Choir and Pinnacle Pealers along with guest artists Southwest Brass in an inspirational program of holiday music. A special offering was collected to support Casa de la Misericordia, a children’s care center in Nogales, Mexico, and to further the fine arts program of Pinnacle Presbyterian Church.

In addition to the Chancel Choir, the Pinnacle Pealers and Southwest Brass, also performing in the Celebration of Christmas were Rev. Fran Park as the narrator, Jim Nelson and Tom Murphy on percussion, and Marcia Sobek on flute. Tanya Rosenfeld choreographed the liturgical dances. Jamie Stead handled audio and lighting. Brent Hylton is Pinnacle’s Director of Music and Organist; Marilyn Hylton is the Associated Director of Music; Kira Rugen is Director of Children/Youth Choral Ensembles; and Peggy Purkey is Musical Assistant.
